What's Happening At Our House
We had such a blast on our ski trip to Monarch, CO! The girls are skiing like pros and everyone arrived home safe and sound! We were also blessed to see Darwin's aunt and uncle, Marlys and Gary Fisk and family. We have never been to their house before and were able to ring in the new year with them. We took this picture at their house before heading home.
February is just around the corner...
I can't believe how fast the year has gone!
We're still in Basketball season here. Megan's season is over, but Rachel's is still going. She had to sit on the bench during last weeks SJCS 6th grad tournament. The most important tourney of the year to her. She had a concussion and couldn't play. A couple of weeks ago she got fouled (slammed) and fell back hitting her head on the floor. She never lost consciousness, but had a doozie of a headache for 3+ days. Doc said no sports for 3-4 weeks. She has an appointment on Feb 2. Maybe he'll clear her then. It's driving her crazy not being able to play. Up until now she thought maybe she'd give cheerleading a try in Jr. High. Now she says no way! When she told her coach Mary, she said, "Oh, Baby! Cheerleader-schmeerleader!" If you know Mary McGlade, that will give you a chuckle. :)
Megan is having a great year. She played basketball and volleyball, and is now getting ready for a musical of sorts this spring. It's called "Come Together." I'm planning on being able to accompany for it again. I was able to play for both Jr. and Sr. High choirs and Megan thought that was pretty cool. I thought so too. She's getting to be quite the singer and thinks that maybe that might be her instrument of choice.
Well, it's time to close for now and get some work done. I hope to find this is a good way to keep in touch with friends and family near and far. Take care. Until later, Jenni
